The Halstead Community Foundation (HCF), an affiliate of Central Kansas Community Foundation, is now accepting applications for its 2026 grant cycle. Funding is available for projects and programs that benefit the Halstead community, including initiatives that support health, wellness, and overall quality of life. 2026 Newton USD 373 Academic Enhancement Fund Opens March 1, 2026 Closes March 31, 2026
The USD 373 Academic Enhancement Fund, endowed through Central Kansas Community Foundation, Newton, opens on Monday, March 1, 2026, and aims to support USD 373 Newton teachers and staff each year by providing money to support classroom resources and /or projects for USD 373 students.
We know that in a time of conservative spending teachers may have classroom needs and/or opportunities that are outside of your annual classroom budget. Grants may be submitted individually or collaboratively as a team.
Fund requests should be a minimum of $500 up to $4,000.

Funding is available to support projects and programs that enhance community well-being in North Newton, including initiatives focused on education, youth, arts and culture, health, environment, and community development. Minimum grant requests are $500, with total funding to be determined. Applications open in April and are due by May 6, 2026. Funding is available to support charitable projects and programs that enhance the quality of life in the Peabody community, made possible through the generosity of local donors. As the Fredonia Community Foundation, an affiliate of Central Kansas Community Foundation, works to increase awareness in the community of our mission, we hope to continue our partnership with the staff of USD 484. We know that in a time of conservative spending, teachers may have classroom needs and/or opportunities that are outside of your annual classroom budget. We are dedicating $5,000 to these grants.
Qualified applicants must be a staff member of USD 484.
Proposals may be written for classroom materials, special project/programs, or field trips. Funding will not be granted for capital projects, salaries, utility expenses, to buy items to raffle, teacher training or conference travel. Think creatively and consider working collaboratively with your team.
The Fredonia Area Community Foundation is here to support educators, and we appreciate the continued good work they are doing for the students of USD 484.

FUNDING REQUESTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED $1,000
THE ONLINE GRANT APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 5 P.M. on March 31, 2026.
All submissions are subject to the process, procedures, and rules of both the Fredonia Area Community Foundation and Central Kansas Community Foundation.
Upon review by the FACF Grant Selection Committee, additional information may be requested for clarification.
Recipients of funds will be selected and notified by early May. Awards will be handed out at the 2026 End of School Luncheon.
