Halstead Community Foundation (HCF) 2025 grant cycle is opening on Wednesday, March 26. Grants from the Halstead Community Foundation Impact Fund will be awarded for the purpose of supporting charitable projects/programs that benefit those in the Halstead community. The Kansas Health Foundation Fund – Halstead will underwrite solutions for local health issues that protect and promote the health and well-being of individuals and their communities through the encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors, and environments. The amount requested and types of projects/programs will determine the number of grants and amount to be awarded.
To apply for this opportunity, your organization must meet the following requirements: · Possess 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Service code, be exempt under statute (i.e. educational institution, church, a city or county), or be formally linked to an organization with such designation · Management should be in the hands of reliable, ethical, and experienced personnel
Funding requests should: · Serve or enhance the community of Halstead · Not exceed $1,500
To be eligible for consideration: · An application must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025 – CLICK HERE to apply. The application cycle opens on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. · The project/program cannot occur until after grants are estimated to be made (May 2025) · The project/program must be completed by February 15, 2026, unless additional considerations are shared prior to the completion of the project/program · The organization must have completed a follow-up report, if it was funded in the previous year
HCF, an affiliate of Central Kansas Community Foundation (CKCF), was established to assist in providing resources for a broad range of existing and future charitable needs in the Halstead, Kansas area. HCF supports the mission of the community by granting funds to worthy organizations that strive to help Halstead become a better place for all area citizens, now and in the future.
All submissions are subject to the process, procedures, and rules of both HCF and CKCF. Upon review by the HCF Grant Selection Committee, additional information may be requested for clarification.

2025 Newton USD 373 Education Endowment Innovation and Enhancement Grant Application
USD 373 Endowment Fund, Railer 125 Endowment Fund, and Centennial/Railer 100 Endowment Fund, endowed through Central Kansas Community Foundation, Newton, opens on Monday, March 3, 2025, and aims to support USD 373 Newton teachers and staff each year by providing money to support classroom resources and /or projects. The application deadline is Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 5pm.
We know that in a time of conservative spending teachers may have classroom needs and/or opportunities that are outside of your annual classroom budget. Grants may be submitted individually or collaboratively as a team. A maximum of $4,500 is available for the following categories:
PreK – Gr. 8 “Innovation in the Classroom” Gr. 9 – 12 “Innovation in the Classroom” o Project Criteria (for both categories)
- The project should relate to innovative instructional practices and your proposal should describe the project and its goals for student learning.
- Technology requested in this proposal must be among district supported equipment. Contact ETC prior to submission.

North Newton Community Foundation Mission Statement “The North Newton Community Foundation (NNCF) supports efforts that enhance community well-being through expansion of educational opportunities, cultural enrichment, and improvement of human health and the physical environment. This will be done in part by visionary efforts to increase the total flow of philanthropic resources by identifying new funding sources and orienting donors to the benefits from such uses.”
The 2025 North Newton Community Foundation Grant cycle is funded with proceeds from the following funds:
- North Newton Community Impact Fund: The Fund supports public, charitable, scientific, literary, and educational purposes that are consistent with the NNCF mission statement.
- Jacob D. and Beth E. Goering Charitable Fund, the John G. and Diana C. Torline Endowment, the Jim and Shirley Goering Community Development Fund, and the Sher Klassen Neufeld Endowment Fund: These Funds support charitable activities that are designed to primarily benefit organizations and/or residents that reside in North Newton. Eligible activities include project/programs or financing that are designed to lessen the burden of the North Newton City Government such as property tax reduction; improvement of the quality of life in North Newton; enhancement of community well-being through expansion of educational opportunities and cultural enrichment; improvement of human health and the physical environment; park, playground and open space land acquisition or improvements; extension of hiking and biking trails; historic preservation activities; and local archaeological investigations.
- North Newton Kids Endowment Fund: The Fund shall be used for support of the charitable, scientific, or educational purposes related to organizations, projects, programs and other community efforts that shall support charitable activities that enhance the general well-being of young people 18 years of age or less residing in or near North Newton.
- North Newton Cultural Enhancement Fund: To support arts and humanities programs which promote cultural awareness, diversity, and understanding. This will include support of activities related to music, art, drama, poetry, dance and sports (but excluded scholarship for such activities). Provide support for community social events within North Newton which foster inter-ethnic harmony.

Funding requests should embody the following criteria: · Be consistent with and supportive of the NNCF Mission Statement · Be deemed effective at addressing perceived social or economic issues directly related to community well-being · Contain innovative features with potential to attract local interest · Demonstrate that benefits are expected to accrue largely to North Newton residents
Approximately $12,000 will be awarded through this grant cycle. Funding requests should not exceed $3,000.
